I'm Dr. Jessica Ruzicka
Co-Founder & Educational Consultant
Dr. Ruzicka previously served as Director of College and Academic Planning at a private K-12 school, where she guided students through the complexities of college admissions, course selection, major decision-making, and the crafting of strong college essays and resumes. She holds a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Chatham College. Dr. Ruzicka is also a Certified Career Direct Consultant, providing career assessments that align individuals’ talents, skills, and values with their career paths.

I'm Dr. Amanda Sterk
Co-Founder & Educational Consultant
Dr. Sterk, founder of Sterk Educational Consulting and the College UnMazed curriculum, has authored four workbooks on college readiness and dual enrollment, implemented in schools and prep programs nationwide. Through her innovative, research-focused leadership, Dr. Sterk exponentially expanded both programs with a focus on marketing and sales, using advanced analytics, sales funnels, and on-demand materials.

Our Story
Their ability to combine education with entrepreneurial strategies has made both Dr. Ruzicka and Dr. Sterk trusted advisors and thought leaders in the college admissions field. Together, they co-developed and expanded a college and career advising department, growing it from a single counselor to 25 advisors and generating over $500K in revenue in its first year. They also host webinars, workshops, training sessions, and present at conferences to help others understand the college admissions field, while continuing to advise their own caseload of students. Their business acumen allowed the program to scale rapidly, bringing in significant revenue while maintaining personalized service for each student. Dr. Ruzicka and Dr. Sterk are dedicated to educating students and families about the college process and building comprehensive programs that provide the necessary resources and support for successful college admissions. They are also committed to training and mentoring new college advisors, ensuring their impact reaches as many students as possible by developing a strong network of skilled professionals.
